National Cybersecurity Awareness Month - This October, National Cybersecurity Awareness Month is commemorating its 15th year as an annual initiative to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity. NCSAM 2018 is a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online, while increasing the resiliency of the Nation during cyber-threats. DHS is the federal, national lead for NCSAM. DHS also co-leads NCSAM with the National Cyber Security Alliance.
Ed Samuels (BSEE, MSCS and a MBA) from Auxilium Technology will be offering a special presentation on “Cyber Security for Micro/SOHO, Small and Midsize Businesses (SMB)”. Cybersecurity is critical to any business enterprise, no matter how small.  However, leaders of small and midsize businesses (SMB) often do not know where to begin, given the scope and complexity of the issue in the face of a small staff and limited resources.
To help business leaders get started, Ed will provide a list of top resources specially designed to help SMBs recognize and address their cybersecurity risks. After this lecture/class all participants will be given a link to take a test hosted by the SBA. Once completed the SBA will send you a Cyber Security certificate
